On a side now, that is such a great game. I still enjoy going back and playing it occasionally.
Yeah, I was installing it for just that reason. I couldn’t find my CD key though, so I ended up re-buying it off Steam (it was on sale for $2 this weekend).
I’ve gotten to where if the game isn’t on Steam I don’t by it – for the reason you just mentioned. I can’t keep up with physical media, serial numbers, etc.
If developers don’t have their game on Steam they are doing it wrong.
Yeah, I pretty much refuse to buy physical media these days.
The one non-Steam exception I made though was for Battlefield 3. EA got their panties in a bunch and aren’t releasing the game via Steam, so I picked it up via their digital distribution platform Origin.
