Yep, another update for my Battlefield 2 Stats plugin. Added this time is support for the WordPress Widgets plugin as well as long term logging. If an error occurs now, it’s recorded so that you can see it later. Before, you’d only see any errors if they occured while you were looking at your options page.

The website for Half-Life 2: Episode One went live today. HL2:EP1 picks up where Half-Life 2 left off (reactor explosion going off and Gordon and Alyx being taken away or whatever by the G-Man).
Consciousness returns. Gordon and Alyx discover they’ve somehow escaped both the reactor explosion and the G-Man’s malevolent grasp. Before they can ponder their miraculous survival, the crippled Citadel lurches back to life just long enough to initiate a self-destruct sequence. With Alyx at his side, Gordon must flee a city in chaos before the Citadel’s final detonation turns City 17 into a toxic, mutant-infested crater.
I’m soooo pre-ordering this as soon as I can. 😀

WeatherIcon version 3 is coming along nicely and is already mostly done. It’s been in use for probably a month or so here on my blog. Since it’s stable for the most part, we have allowed public access to it. As many of you may know, I hate today (April Fool’s Day) with a passion. It’s not because I don’t find it funny sometimes, it’s because I’m just too damn gullible and always forget what day today is. Then I start thinking it’s true and it takes me forever to realize.
Anyway, here’s a couple good ones I’ve run across today. I’ll update the list as I find more and feel free to point out any good ones you’ve found via the comments of this post. 😉
As mentioned on the WordPress Development Blog, the kickass sidebar widgets system that’s in use at WordPress.com is now available for everyone as a plugin. For those who don’t have a WordPress.com blog, here’s a screenshot of the great drag-and-drop system:
While currently only a few plugins support this cool new plugin, more are supporting it every day. None of mine do yet, but they will soon! 🙂

It was claimed to be the next Battlefield title from DICE, but most people, including me, figured it to be a non-BF title. Oh how we were wrong, as shown by this video released yesterday:

While I really enjoy modern combat (i.e. Battlefield 2), Battlefield 2142 definetly looks interesting and like a lot of fun. 🙂
As mentioned on their blog, Google has released Google Mars in celebration of Percival Lowell‘s birthday. It’s a lot like Google Moon which I mentioned 7 months ago and Google Maps, i.e. very cool.
Shame they didn’t release it as a plugin for Google Earth though. It woulda so very cool to fly around Mars in 3D. 🙁
