    Thanks for the suggestion. I’m in the process of recoding the plugin from scratch using a lot of handy WordPress 2.5 only functions (mainly the new shortcodes which is also used for the [gallery]) and I’ll make sure to include that feature! 🙂

    Unable to override .vvqbox because plugin adds CSS styling last in tags.

    Any changes made in style.css to .vvqbox won’t apply.

    Modifying CSS (Removing 5px margin) may be easier with an external default CSS we can change. All other CSS tags ore Okay. Thanks for the plugin. Great contribution to the community.

    Meanwhile, just use “!important” like this: .vvqbox { margin: 25px !important; }

  10. hello, I just setup this plugin in my wp blog version 2.3.3 but I cannot make it working, I don’t understand why, a few months ago I use it succesfully in another blog I don’t currently use

    I choose to display flv video files but when I post it (WYSIWYG disabled), preview shows only the complete URL of vid, not the player

    is there some incompatibility with newer wp versions?

    Your theme probably lacks a <?php wp_head(); ?> in your head.

    Your page (as mine) looks as it should in MSIE but not in Firefox 2.0.0.13 (winXP). Firefox upgraded itself recently so I guess it is a problem with this browser. BTW, I cannot verify that google videos work with vvq in FF as I said earlier, I discovered that I use googles default embedding inside a pre tag instead of vvq for those videos .

    I use Firefox 2.0.0.13 as well and I have no issues that I can see. Both YouTube and Google Video work.

    I use Firefox 2.0.0.13 as well and I have no issues that I can see. Both YouTube and Google Video work.

    Firefox just released ver 2.0.0.14, that solved the problem 🙂

    I install this plugin that looks great but the quicktags don’t appear on my wordpress 2.5, I download the plugin ( 5.4.3 ) from wordpress.org, I disable it and activate it 2 or 3 times and always don’t get the quicktags on the tinyMCE editor.

    Hello,
    the problem was caused because i’m using a french wordpress version I think they change something on tinyMCE or something like this.
    Else, I find your plugin really great, may be if it parses automaticly the thumbs of the video added, it can be more amazing one !

    Anyway, thanks again for this plugin.

    This is probably a TinyMCE bug and not a bug with my plugin.

    figured out the problem: adblock plus element hiding helper plugin for firefox3 beta5. i feel quite dumb now, but it was just one of the rules in my adblocking in firefox that was causing it! sorry to bug you! 🙂

    This is a WordPress plugin, not a TinyMCE plugin, so no, it will not work.

    I cant get the tag or button to appear in WordPress 2.5.1, which is the version I’m using now. I had an old version in the plugins, and after I click the upgrade plugin, well…the tag/button dont appear in the WYSIWYG anymore.

    {Edit} OK, it appears, after I clear Firefox cache…:)

    Viper, I cant get the plugin to make the video display a flash video. I tried to get a video from Daily motion to appear, but the plugin only made the link appear as text form in the page.

    Had to revert to the original code.

    This plugin doesn’t support DailyMotion and the Flash Video feature is for FLV files.

  47. It seems that this plugin, for some reason, is no longer embedding videos. I checked your demo page, and all that shows is the link to the videos and not the actual video embedded. Any ideas what might be causing this? I know it was working fine for me a few days ago.
