This post was entirely written using WPhone and my new iPod Touch that arrived today. I am so giddy. 😀

I’ve completely recoded my WordPress Admin Bar plugin from scratch to be completely dynamic. This means support for any and all plugin and their admin pages.

Back on September 12th, Matt posted a challenge to the wp-hackers mailing list to make an iPhone admin interface plugin.
Well, after a month of hard work, Stephane Daury, Doug Stewart, and I have released WPhone . It allows you to use a custom admin interface while interacting with your WordPress install via your phone. It supports all mobile devices, but was mainly designed and coded for the iPhone and iPod touch.

I’ve just released two new plugins (well, one and a half really as the 2nd is just an addon for the first).
I preset to you all, Templatedia. I had been looking at Wikipedia‘s (i.e. MediaWiki‘s) templating system and realized that it’d work well if it was ported to WordPress.
For example, say you’re a music artist and you have a post or page for each song you’ve released. On each post/page, you have a little float’ed box that’s styled and contains like a download link, details about the track (year released, etc.), or whatever. Well, rather than copying and pasting that HTML from post to post, you can just create a new template and use it.

The possible uses are countless!
The other plugin I have released is called Templatedia Chess. It’s an addon for Templatedia that adds in a new template that is a port of Wikipedia’s Chess diagram template. I coded it for fun and to test Templatedia to make sure that it could handle complex templates, but it also works quite well and hopefully a couple people will find it useful.

Just a bunch of bugfixes plus support for YouTube’s new international sites (ex: uk.youtube.com). As usual, you can download it from the official plugin database.

I’ve resumed work on this plugin after letting it stew on the back burner for a month or two and I can say that I should have a release relatively soon. I’ve made major progress and come up with some excellent, excellent ways of implementing the plugin.
Look forward to an awesome release within the next couple weeks hopefully. 🙂
I’ve updated my Video Quicktags plugin. It’s been recoded from the ground up. Many bugs were addressed and more video sites were added.
The changelist is rather large, so just go update and see for yourself what’s new. You’ll like it. 🙂
