    The blog you link to from your comment is commercial as far as JW Player is concerned as it has Adsense. Any advertising makes it commercial.

  8. Hi I saw the ilithya´s post, I used the function the_excerpt() on the index.php and the plug-in doesn´t work, but if I used also homepage excerpt plugins, your plugin really works,

    Do you have plans yo implements your plugin with the the_excerpt() function?

  12. Been using your quicktags plugin for a while now, but I noticed that it doesn’t work on my shiny new iPad. I assume that’s because you use Flash to embed the video. Actually, there is a space for the video and if I click on that space the YouTube app opens and plays the video, so all is not lost. But it would be nice to have the video directly in the blog post where it’s supposed to be. Do you know if there is, or will be, a way to embed the videos without using Flash?

    • I’m currently rewriting this plugin from scratch. I took a look at the source of that plugin and besides it giving me a headache due to poor coding, I can’t figure out how it manages to make YouTube videos play without Flash.

  15. Viper – out of respect for the uninformed, you might want to link to a few of the video encoders since there are so many rogue products out there right now. I know – I found out the hard way. I’m still having a hard time finding a good mp4 to FLV or SWF encoder as you mention I might be able to find on the web.

  21. In one of your post in wordpress.org you have mentioned that it does generate a thumbnail when a video is posted. How do I display those thumbnails?

    for youtube.com and vimeo. I tried the code that others have posted but didn’t work.

    Any chance you might add a feature to automatically retrieve Youtube’s thumbnails (and any other video site that offers thumbnails) and add them to the post as the post-thumbnail?

  43. Can this plugin be used to show videos that reside on my own site? The above description seems it is only for external videos. I have about 40 videos hosted on my own server and want to show those only.

  49. I am cutting a 15 min video into 5 3 minute videos. Do you have a tab feature where I can list all 5 videos under each seperate tab?
