Sorry. I speak spanish.

Thanks for the plug-in. Is there a way to get my .flv file to autoplay? Thanks.
[quote comment=”22087″]Thanks for the plug-in. Is there a way to get my .flv file to autoplay? Thanks.[/quote]
No, you’ll probably want to use one of the more advanced FLV plugins out there. I only intended for basic support.
The plugin code is included on every page of my site; however, I use it for just a single page. Is there a way to have the viper code only loaded on that page?
Thanks for a great and simple to use plugin that works perfectly.

There’s no harm really as the JS file is cached, but you’ll want to modify the plugin using Conditional Tags.
muchas gracias esto esta muy bueno :DD
I installed the plug in and as with every other plug in I’ve installed, I can’t get it to work right. I don’t know if I’m using the wrong You Tube code or what, but the window to prompt for the URL shows up, I put that in and then on the post I get the URL instead of the video. Help?
Harry: much easier to give support via my forums. Please post there. 🙂
HEY! Thanks for the information and the quick response, I found what I needed and got it to work! Very cool.
[quote comment=”15406″][quote comment=”15392″]Is it possible to change it back?[/quote]
I won’t be, no. I don’t want to make non-validating feeds and feeds that may break some feed readers. You’re welcome to though.
Open the plugin and find this line:
[code]if ( is_feed() ) {[/code]
Replace it with this:
[code]if ( TRUE === FALSE ) {[/code][/quote]
I can’t seem to find that code anywhere in the plugin?
Funcionou perfeito, excelente! Parabéns!

The plugin has been recoded from the ground up since that comment was made and no longer applies. There is currently no easy way to get embedded videos in feeds using this plugin as the videos are embedded using Javascript.
Hi everybody! I have a serious problem can anybody help please?!
I downloaded the plugin and extracted the files as required, but when I wanted to install the plugin, I didn’t find the wp-content/plugins anywhere in my dashboard… I went to several forums to ask about it and the only answer was that WordPress has deleted the add plugins option. Is it true? If no, how can you explain it’s completely gone from my administration board?
Hope to have an answer as soon as possible… Thank you!

You cannot use plugins on WordPress.com. To use plugins and modify your theme, you must host your own WordPress install.
However, there isn’t really a need for this plugin anyway on WordPress.com:

super plugin thanks
Is is possible to use your plugin for embedding of YouTube Playlists in blogs? Currently it’s not supported. Is this the result of the difference in URLs between individual video’s and multiple ones collected in a playlist?
URL YouTube Video:
URL YouTube Playlist:
Look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Richard

I had never heard of such a feature. I’ll look into it. 🙂
congratulation super plugin
Hi
I started using this plugin today and already noticed two problems
1. when I activate it, my wordpress plugin admin panel crashes since I need more then 8MB of RAM (I have only 8MB from my hosting). Using other plugins works fine.
2. In IE I get only a link to the video not the video embedded as in firefox. YOu can check this out in my blog
[quote comment=”24340″]1. when I activate it, my wordpress plugin admin panel crashes since I need more then 8MB of RAM (I have only 8MB from my hosting). Using other plugins works fine.[/quote]
Get some proper hosting then. There’s no way this plugin would use even CLOSE to 8MB of RAM. A KB or two at most.

Works fine for me in IE7 and I know the plugin works fine in IE6.
Therefore it must be your theme or whatever. Fix your validation errors.
Viper Video Tag doesn’t seem to be working for WordPress 2.3.1
I’ve updated WP & the plug in, but no luck.
I get no videos.. just the link.

You aren’t using my plugin and please post on my support forums, not here.
Yep – best plugin of it’s type that I found.
Thanks, keep up the good work.
hi,
The plugin is great, very easy to use.
I am having one problem though. I need to make the videos smaller otherwise my entire theme gets thrown out of whack. I changed the default settings in the option panel, but I still get the larger video when I add one to a post.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
[quote comment=”24890″]Is there anything I can do to fix this?[/quote]
Works fine for me. Make sure you just do [youtube] and not set a width/height in the BBCode.
If it’s still not working, please use my support forums.
Hey, not sure what’s going on, but I’m using VVQT version 5.1.4 on WordPress MU 1.3 and suddenly, the tags aren’t working. I’m just getting the quick-tag text instead of the embedded video.
Help! I need this back!
I just installed this plugin on a 2.3.1 blog and only see youtube and gvideo buttons in the simpletext editor. I haven’t checked the richtext editor.
I hope you can get this going in the new version, since valid code is VERY desirable, and I know you’re a quality coder. 😀 I would hate to have to use one of the other not so good plugins for this (that’s if ANY of them work in 2.3.1.)
It’s hard to give support here. Please use my support forums. Thanks.
For a 4:3 aspect ratio video with a stage6 video I think you will have to do this – Set these in the options – 400 width 325 height.
Really great job: many thanks 🙂

Good plugins, thanks!
Still doesn’t work for WP 2.3.1
I had to use the full embed code to make it work.
Ahhh!! Why did I upgrade?!!!

I can assure you this plugin works fine on 2.3.1. I’m running it on this blog as are thousands of other people.
You must have installed it wrong or have another plugin activated that is causing the problem.
for some reason the youtube and google videos won’t show on internet explorer – i know firefox is better anyway 😀 it works fine with firefox, but IE just shows links on google + youtube videos. just tested your testpage, to have the same problem like on my embedded vids.
[quote comment=”27966″]for some reason the youtube and google videos won’t show on internet explorer[/quote]
Then you have JS disabled or something in your copy of IE. I just tested this post in both IE6 and IE7 and it worked fine.
I have 5.3 installed onto my wordpress 2.3.1, as far as I can tell it has been installed correctly, and after disabling my adsense plugin there was no change…

I should note, all that shows up is the link to the youtube video, and a box that should hold the video, holds nothing but air
great plugin.. but i have a problem… it doesnt show the videos on iexplorer :S only on firefox… any help? or suggestions?
thanks
The WMV and other normal movie files are not shown. or is it still the problem of this plugin?
Any Help?
I love this plugin, but it’s really a shame the videos posted in my site won’t appear in the RSS feed anymore — just the URL. If it worked before, inserting them manually, I think it’s possible for it to work with this plugin. I read something about not validating; that’s ok, let us choose whether do show the video or not (with a warning about the validation thing or something). Thanks and congratulations!
[quote comment=”28845″]let us choose whether do show the video or not [/quote]
The videos are currently inserted via Javascript to maintain maximum compatibility. This is not possible in an RSS feed.
The plugin would require major modifications to get videos to show up in RSS feeds.
Great plugin, would be good if you could add a part to the admin section so you can take advantage of YouTube’s ability to change colours of the borders.
Hi there,
I think you have some Major bugs in JavaScript. You should modify it. other people have problems with inserting wmv, avi, and other files. I suggest you to create for each extension new button. for example. .avi file avi button and for .asx, .wmv, other. this will help the world inserting Live videos on their websites.
Look at my website. http://varketili.com It uses same methods for insertion. I use my own wysiwyg editor. and it supports all the codes for media files.
Enjoy!
Thanks for this plugin, it’s very useful. I’d like to suggest a feature. I’d like the player to show an image preview when it is viewed in a browser. Obviously, it would be hard to code it so it automatically generates an image from the video file. Rather, I just want to set a static image file to show as the player’s background, instead of just having a black square. I think this would look much better. The FLV player supports it with simple Javascript, so I guess it would be easy for talented people like you to include in a future revision.
Thanks again!
I installed the plugin but the youtube videos breaks my page by having the videos out of the normal flow of the website. here is a reference to the wordpress support post

Any ideas of why?
I’ve been trying to get my new WP theme working with my blog. Unfortunately, all my YouTube videos will not appear. It just shows a link and a load of empty space below the link. The theme is from scratch, and I used the Loop code from the Default Kubrick theme. Can you help?
I’ve been trying to get my new WP theme working, but your plugin isn’t working. I checked the page source and the JavaScript is there, but it isn’t rendering. It just shows a link and bunch of whitespace. Help?
Never mind, I forgot to put in the header. >_>
